The beta reader included a partial line edit which was actually more helpful than the questionnaire because it was more specific. I also appreciate the reader’s enthusiasm and her engagement with the manuscript. I don’t think she’s necessarily the target audience for my book, which is more like Neal Stephenson’s, but she did point out some problems that I hadn’t noticed.
